We're here in the rain forest of Costa Rica, managing a Tree House B&B, where the tree houses (seven total) are high amongst the trees...our neighbors consist of loads of hummingbirds, some monkeys, sloths, frogs, snakes, iguanas, geckos and various other critters...we look forward to sharing with you some pics and blog entries as we continue on our jungle journey...

Bejuca
I never thought Mark & I would be parents, and here we are...showing off a pic of our newly adopted costa rican baby girl - Bejuca...she is on loan to us while we're staying here...she's a little over 2 yrs old; mix of black lab & rotweiller...she loves her daily walks, and so do i b/c i get added exercise in also...mark is practicing his spanish on her...i'm not sure if she understands him or not, but either way she rarely does what he asks her to do (i think some of me is rubbing off on her)...there is something in her nature about not listening to the male species (she's a smart one)...the local men that come by the hotel are sometimes afraid to get out of their cars when they see her and first words out of their mouth is does she bite? i tell them "oh no, she's friendly, don't worry, she only bites men"...
