We're here in the rain forest of Costa Rica, managing a Tree House B&B, where the tree houses (seven total) are high amongst the trees...our neighbors consist of loads of hummingbirds, some monkeys, sloths, frogs, snakes, iguanas, geckos and various other critters...we look forward to sharing with you some pics and blog entries as we continue on our jungle journey...

Canine Yoga - Downward Dog
We don't offer yoga here at the hotel, but anyone is welcome to try it. The other day, the little pooch (which we have christened mini-b after Bejuca, the large dog) was out working on her yoga moves. Lucy says this pose is called "downward dog." I've only done yoga once in my life, and I don't remember doing a downward dog, or a standing dog or any kind of canine cavorting. Mini-b was out in the driveway, just stretching and rolling for more than 10 minutes. We were laughing too hard at first, before we realized that we should grab the camera, so we weren't able to capture all of her poses.

Is that thing Chihuahua size? It looks pretty sneaky to me. In these pictures it doesn't look so old. Kind of cute, uhh sort of, maybe. OK, cute might be a stretch.
it's pretty small. . . it will hold that pose for nearly 30 seconds or more. . . when she's not yapping or begging for food, she's pretty cute. . . that leaves about 5 percent of the time left!
